Huzeima Mahamadu is a PhD student at the Australian National University. She is a development professional, creative writer, and researcher from Ghana, West Africa. She has a decade of experience working with universities and Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) in development, education, and research.  With an academic background in planning and local economic development, Huzeima has a strong interest in and passion for tourism and heritage, which has influenced her master's research in tourism. Building on this foundation, her PhD research delves into slavery heritage in Ghana. Her research explores how Ghana represents Trans-Atlantic Slavery history in museums and the perceptions of different visitors on the interpretative narratives provided during guided tours.

Huzeima is a volunteer at heart and loves imparting knowledge!
